The desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.  ~

The full quote reads: “The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.”

We don’t particularly care about the original context of this. But looking at Yvette’s latest nursery for her second born – baby Tatum – it’s easy to draw parallels with the literal meaning of this quote.

Yvette King, you may remember, was featured last year right here in our beautiful nurseries category – A Midsummer Night’s Dream. We are, of course, delighted that she chose évolur again for Tatum.

Says Yvette,

My inspiration for Tatum’s room was a Mexican zarape blanket I found at my local flea market. It was the first thing I picked out and whether I was having a girl or a boy I knew it had to go in the room. When I was young we lived in Venice, CA and some of my earliest memories are walking the boardwalk, gazing at the fun and eclectic decor, while soaking up the California Sun. I wanted her nursery to have a cool California theme and for some reason that blanket seemed to be the thread of inspiration I needed.
