Some weeks ago, we posted a snapshot of Californian graphic designer Lisa Nicole‘s baby daughter Mackenzie’s nursery. We reached out to the proud mamma and she was kind enough to share more pictures of this elegant nursery she put together for her daughter featuring the Windsor Curved Top crib.
The base color Lisa used is a neutral, cool shade of grey.
“Grey was our starter color before we found out the gender.” Says Lisa. “That way we could go either way – pink or blue.”
And pink it was in the end.
This is a cosy, clean space with the crib occupying the lion’s share of the available space. It is placed against a wall adjacent to a white, 4- panel louvre window with glass jalousies – perfect for airflow and lighting. The wall against which the crib is set has an ‘M’ monogram set amidst pink flowers in turn surrounded by dotted decal in gold. Another ‘color-coup’, so to speak.
The accessories include simple, minimalist items – a tall side-table and a glider by the crib and against the window corner and a dresser/changing station placed opposite the crib. Little wall mounted book-shelves complete this picture-perfect nursery.
In our next installment, we will talk to Lisa Nicole and find out more.
