The key to designing a small nursery is to keep things simple. But simple certainly doesn’t mean dull or boring. Case in point, mom Stephanie Robertson’s bright and airy nursery for her baby boy, Henry Oliver. Done up in whites and blues, it features the Dream On Me Morgan 5-in-1 Convertible Crib in White. The Morgan with its clean, white finish and elegant form sets the tone while the blue and white bedding adds a burst of color and life to the space. And of course, the cute elephant motifs lend the room a fun feel. A compact storage-cum-changing table and glider complete the look.

When you are researching ideas for your dream nursery, it helps to understand how other moms put together theirs. Read on to find out Stephanie’s thought process as she designed this welcoming Dream On Me nursery –

What was your inspiration for the nursery design and décor?

We have recently embraced a minimalistic lifestyle and have incorporated that into our home design.  I wanted to keep the design of the nursery as simple as possible without unnecessary clutter.

What drew you to Dream On Me over other nursery brands?

I immediately loved the clean design of the Dream On Me Crib.  After comparing many brands and styles, I decided that this was the best option for us based on the quality, style, and affordability.

Did the room pose any design challenges?

Our nursery is a very small space!  I wanted to have all the necessities without feeling overcrowded or cluttered.

What does this color scheme mean to you?

I used a variety of blues, grays, and white in the nursery.  These colors promote a relaxed and airy environment for baby boy.

What accessories did you choose and why?

I chose Lilly Pulitzer bedding because (as most Palm Beach residents) we adore the fun patterns!  This is my favorite accessory of the room and actually inspired all the others. This particularly crib set incorporated elephants into the design.  We found the perfect elephant plaque at Pottery Barn, a darling elephant basket at Target, and many other fun elephant pieces.

What is your favorite piece or design element in the nursery?

I love the crib because the bright white piece truly brightens the nursery and pulls things together in such a clean way.

What one word comes to mind when you step into the nursery?

Simplicity

Something interesting that happened before, during or after the pregnancy?

This baby is very special to us because he is our rainbow!  We had a very sad loss before him, and he is our miracle!
