Hurricane Harvey has left in its wake a devastation of mammoth proportions. For 4 dismal days, the storm battered Texas, after lashing the Caribbean and Latin America. The rains caused catastrophic flooding. More than 300,000 people were left without electricity and billions of dollars of property damage was sustained. The death toll is currently at 64 and expected to rise. More than 185,000 homes have been damaged and still more have been destroyed.
This is undoubtedly one of the the worst natural disasters that have struck our country in the recent past. Our prayers and our hearts are with the people of Texas.
