Q&A with Tiffany Mustich – Part 1
In Part 2 of her Q&A with us, Tiffany talks about the all the little things that she accessorized Charlie’s nursery with to make it the lovely, intimate, warm nursery that it is.
And she also shares a little nugget of information that may come in handy for all the new moms out there. Says Tiffany, “I became a nursing mom! I never knew how important this was going to be to me. I will be completely honest, the first 2 weeks were miserable! It was the biggest commitment and the hardest thing I’d ever done in my entire life. But once I got the hang of it I became so passionate about it, to the point where I’m actually considering becoming a lactation consultant. Baby steps first haha, I’m starting with blogging about it. I went to fashion school but nothing prepares you for the inconvenience of nursing on the go and the lack of nursing apparel out there. Anyway, I absolutely love talking to other new moms who going through it and encouraging them to keep going, because god knows I almost gave up in those first two weeks.”
More power to you Tiffany!
What accessories did you choose and why?
Sheets for the changing table and crib are Aden + Anais, we chose these because they are super soft and I loved the prints. The lamp and pillows are from Pottery Barn. The rug, and laundry basket, are Pottery Barn Kids. The cloud shelfs (clouds are something you see in the sky while you’re at the beach! insert wink face here haha) & letters above his bed are from Hobby lobby. The closet organization is target (bins and shelving). And our rocking chair / foot rest are from buy buy baby. Everything we bought was based on color and theme.
What is your favorite piece or design element in the nursery?
I honestly love our gray evolur furniture, along with the navy blue pottery barn kids rug. It pulls the whole space together if you ask me!
Have you thought of how you will use the nursery pieces down the road and can you tell us?
Yes, since his crib converts to toddler bed, then to a big boy bed we will have it for a long time! And since the dresser topper comes off he can continue to use this piece too! And if Charlie doesn’t want a surf theme as he gets older the gray is a timeless color that will go with anything!
What one word comes to mind when you step into the nursery?
Happy!
