Our Beautiful Nursery of the week this week features our Cheyenne Collection again. This time, it’s a rustic chic medley for Baby Beckett.
Ariel McDonald’s nursery for her baby boy is simple. The color scheme is muted grey and earth tones with minimal pastel yellow/ivory highlights. The wall against which the crib has been placed is clad with distressed wood board of varying earth tones. The result? A nursery that is quiet and exudes a gentle peace.
The centrepiece of this nursery is the Cheyenne Crib in Storm Grey. It occupies a convenient spot on just the other side of the door. Parked next to the crib is a glider and foot-rest in matching tones of grey – a cosy little spot for mommy and baby to enjoy some cuddle time. A strategically placed changing station – just across the crib, is also in matching grey. Opposite the crib, rests the double dress with it’s elephant cute companion and a few other baby accessories (stroller, walker etc.).
Accessories in this room are the fun part – they are all animal themed – little elephants, big elephants, a cute tiger lurking by the glider, giraffes and deer. These are predominantly grey and ivory. A couple of shelves have been placed on the wall opposite to the changing station, a couple of framed pictures above the changing station and the ‘B’ above the crib complete this nursery.
In our next post, Ariel explains her design process and why she chose the things she chose. So stay tuned!
